Ralph was elected Chairman and CEO of PSEG in 2007 and was named the company's President, CEO and Member of the Board in 2006. He's well-known and highly-respected leader within the utility industry as well as in the public policy arena. In my research for the introduction, I learned about how the company is helping consumers invest in the grid, how -- and how he believes it's cheaper to make nuclear power plants economic than to get rid of them. Mr. Izzo has also called for a national price on carbon and describes how nuclear power is a tale of two stories, regulated and unregulated, so touching some of that in his remarks.
