Full Year 2023 Dusk Group Ltd Earnings Call Transcript
Good morning, everyone. My name is John Joyce, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO of dusk Group. With me today is our CFO, Kate Sundquist, and we welcome you to the FY23 results briefing.
We will give an overview of our results, which was lodged at ASX this morning before opening the session for questions. The FY23 results reflect the challenging trading conditions in which high interest rates and mounting cost of living pressures impacted the disposable income of our core customer.
Total sales were marginally lower year on year, $137.6 million, noting FY22 was impacted by significant store closures due to COVID-19. Total like-for-like sales were 13.2% lower. Foot traffic outside our stores was down 10.2%. Pleasingly, when customers were in-store, our team was able to drive higher sales conversion.
We finished the year with a store network of 145 stores after opening 14 new stores and closing 1. The new stores included entry into our first international market in New Zealand as a trial, and sales have been in
