Apple Developing Smart Doorbell with Face ID for 2025 Release

Article's Main Image

Apple is reportedly working on a new smart doorbell featuring Face ID technology, aiming for a release by the end of 2025. This device will incorporate Apple's Secure Enclave chip, which ensures that Face ID data is stored and processed separately from other system hardware. The smart doorbell is expected to integrate with existing third-party HomeKit smart locks, and Apple might collaborate with a smart lock company to offer a comprehensive system. Additionally, this device may utilize Apple's in-house Proxima Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip, which is rumored to be included in next year's new HomePod Mini and Apple TV models.
