(YY, Financial) is in discussions with Apple (AAPL) to demonstrate that its live-streaming app, Bigo Live, meets the requirements for the iOS App Store and can be reinstated. Reports emerged that Bigo Live was removed from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store due to incidents of child abuse on the platform.
In response, YY Inc. stated that it has implemented enhanced rules and measures to better protect users from harmful content, particularly in user-generated content. The company is also actively collaborating with relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), to report violations, hold perpetrators accountable, and prevent potential malicious or illegal activities on its platform.
