MSCI Inc. (MSCI) Appoints June Yang as Independent Director

Strategic Addition to the Board Enhances Leadership with Expertise in Cloud and AI Solutions

MSCI Inc. (MSCI, Financial) has announced the appointment of June Yang as an independent director on its Board of Directors, effective December 17, 2024. This strategic move expands the Board to thirteen members, with Ms. Yang serving until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Ms. Yang brings a wealth of experience in cloud and AI solutions, having previously served as Vice President at Google Cloud Inc., where she managed the portfolio of AI products and solutions. Her extensive background includes leadership roles at VMware, Inc., and directorships at NetApp, Inc. and UiPath, Inc.

In her new role at MSCI, Ms. Yang will receive an annual retainer of $90,000, payable in cash or stock, and an annual equity award in the form of restricted stock units valued at $210,000. These awards will be prorated from the start of her service, with the initial RSU award scheduled to vest on May 1, 2025.

The Board has determined that Ms. Yang is independent under MSCI's Corporate Governance Policies and the standards set by the New York Stock Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Her appointment is expected to bring valuable insights and expertise to MSCI's strategic initiatives, particularly in the areas of technology and innovation.

Ms. Yang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science degree in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Her diverse educational background and professional experience make her a significant addition to MSCI's Board.
