Boeing has restarted production of its 737 MAX jets, a crucial step for the company's recovery after a seven-week strike by 33,300 factory workers. The 737 MAX, which has around 4,200 orders, is vital for meeting the rising global demand for air travel. Production resumed last week, according to insiders, although Boeing has not commented officially.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) noted that Boeing plans to resume production later this month. Boeing aims to reach a production rate of 56 jets per month, but faces challenges including past crashes, the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain issues, and regulatory scrutiny. Analysts predict an average production of 29 jets per month by 2025.
