Hesai Technology (HSAI, Financial), a leader in LiDAR technology, has announced an exclusive production deal with Changan Auto for its new Hesai ATX LiDAR. This agreement includes over ten models from various Changan brands, with plans to exceed 1.5 million units in the coming years. The first model from this platform is set for production in the second half of 2025.
Changan Auto, a top Chinese auto brand, has seen robust sales, surpassing 2.55 million units in 2023, with over 470,000 being new energy vehicles. The partnership, established in 2022, has already seen success with the Changan Qiyuan E07 model, which features Hesai's AT128 LiDAR.
The Hesai ATX, launched in April, boasts advanced features and compact design, aiming for mass production by 2025. This collaboration will enhance Changan's smart driving capabilities and expand Hesai's market reach.
