Wells Fargo, the fourth-largest bank in the U.S., is reportedly looking to sell its headquarters building located at 420 Montgomery Street in San Francisco. The bank plans to relocate its headquarters to another office less than half a mile away on Market Street, while still keeping its base in San Francisco.

The bank has engaged its former real estate investment bank, Eastdil Secured, to advise on the transaction. A Wells Fargo spokesperson stated that the move aims to create a more collaborative work environment by bringing more San Francisco employees together in the modernized office space, equipped with advanced technology and facilities. Despite the relocation, Wells Fargo has no intentions to move its headquarters out of San Francisco.
