Amazon (AMZN, Financial) employees in India protested during Blessed Friday by joining the global "Make Amazon Pay " strike. Protests took place across several states in the country, with more than 200 workers rallying in New Delhi. Some wore Jeff Bezos masks to highlight the disparity between Amazon's profits and its employees' wages.
In India, where warehouse workers earn around 10,000 INR (USD 150) per month, many feel the salary is inadequate to meet basic living expenses. Protesters are demanding a wage increase to 25,000 INR (USD 295). Delivery drivers, who face long hours and pressure to meet tight deadlines, are also calling for safer working conditions.
These protests are part of a larger global movement, with workers from the U.S., Germany, France, Brazil, and other countries voicing similar concerns. The protesters ' demands are clear:

Amazon recently reported record revenues but is grappling with increasing protests from workers, particularly during high-pressure sales events like Black Friday.
