Hyundai Motor Company announced plans to launch an electric vehicle (EV) charging service in Indonesia. Starting this week, Hyundai and its EV partners will operate 288 charging stations across the country, offering a total of 518 charging points.
The service will be accessible via Hyundai's smartphone app, providing charging plans of 50 kWh, 100 kWh, and 250 kWh. Users who exhaust their selected plans can purchase additional charging time. Customers who buy a Hyundai EV in Indonesia from September onwards will enjoy a one-year promotional offer.
Beginning next year, Hyundai aims to extend its EV charging services to other electric vehicle brands. The General Manager of Hyundai's Indonesian division stated that the company aims to contribute to the growth of the local EV ecosystem through subscription services and expanded charging infrastructure.
