Cryptocurrency Stocks Surge: BKKT, MARA, MSTR, CAN Lead Gains

Cryptocurrency-related stocks showed significant strength as multiple stocks registered notable gains. At the time of reporting, Bakkt (BKKT, Financial) saw its shares rise by over 7%, while MARA Holdings (MARA) experienced an increase of more than 6.5%. Additionally, MicroStrategy (MSTR) and Canaan Inc. (CAN) both witnessed stock surges of over 3%.

This uptick in stock prices came on the heels of reports suggesting that former President Trump's social media company is engaged in advanced negotiations to acquire a cryptocurrency exchange owned by Intercontinental Exchange. This move is seen as an effort to expand their business beyond online conversations.
