Billionaire investor Ron Baron (Trades, Portfolio), a long-term supporter of Tesla (TSLA, Financial), recently expressed his belief that the company's market capitalization could hit $5 trillion within the next decade. Baron's confidence is based on Tesla's business plans, which he expects will drive the company's market value to at least $3 trillion, potentially reaching $5 trillion.

Baron also mentioned Elon Musk's prediction that Tesla's long-term value might even reach $30 trillion. Despite potential fluctuations in stock price, Baron emphasized that he has no plans to sell his shares. He invested $400 million in Tesla between 2014 and 2016, predicting its mainstream success, which has since grown to a $6 billion stake. Currently, Tesla represents 10% of Baron's diverse fund portfolio.
