Tesla (TSLA, Financial) is now offering leasing options for its electric pickup, the Cybertruck, with prices starting at $999 per month. According to Tesla's website, American consumers can lease the all-wheel-drive version with a $7,500 down payment for a three-year term and have the option to pay monthly. Alternatively, a two-year lease is available without a down payment, with monthly payments around $1,600.
The leasing service was introduced after Tesla cleared most of its backlog orders for the Cybertruck. The company claims that the Cybertruck is its third best-selling model, though it hasn't disclosed quarterly delivery numbers. Since its launch in 2019, the vehicle faced production delays, but these issues were resolved last year. Tesla recently issued a recall for the Cybertruck due to a rear-view camera issue.
