Tesla (TSLA) and Mexico Discuss Delayed Super Factory Project

Mexico's Economic Minister Marcelo Ebrard announced plans to meet with Elon Musk to discuss the advancement of Tesla's super factory project in the country. Originally announced in March 2023, Tesla (TSLA, Financial) intended to build this new facility in Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo León. However, the project has not progressed as expected.

As of July, Musk mentioned that Tesla (TSLA, Financial) had put the plans on hold and would reconsider the investment after the U.S. presidential election. This pause highlights the uncertainty surrounding the super factory's future in Mexico.
