SK Hynix has recently entered into a contract worth 31.1 billion Korean won (approximately $22.56 million) with ASICLAND for the design of a Compute Express Link (CXL) high-speed interconnect memory controller. This agreement is set to last until June 30, 2026.

ASICLAND is focused on assisting clients with semiconductor IP design suitable for TSMC's fabrication process and supporting the mass production of final products. With the time required for development in mind, it is expected that the CXL 3.0 or 3.1 chips will be mass-produced using TSMC's 5-nanometer process technology.
