BP has announced plans to sell its entire portfolio of 310 fuel stations in the Netherlands. The company has not disclosed any price expectations for the sale but cited the high investment required to achieve growth in the relatively small Dutch market as a reason for the decision.

Last year, BP's competitor, Shell, leased a prime fueling site along the A2 motorway between Amsterdam and Utrecht for €12.3 million (approximately $13.4 million) for a 15-year period, highlighting the competitive nature of the market. BP aims to complete the sale by the end of 2025.
