PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 22 –Tuesday the Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT, Financial) unveiled the release of an Android TV app for its Truth+ streaming platform. The app will now be downloadable directly from the Google Play Store, therefore adding significantly to the platform's dominance.
This action follows the app's release on iOS mobile devices and Apple TV. After the news, Trump Media's shares jumped 5.81% as the business continued adding to the compatibility of its streaming services over core devices. The implementation points to Trump Media's approach to becoming more visible in the streaming space. For the month, DJT stock has been on quite the run, surging over 146%, trumping the S&P 500's gains of just 2.31%.
If we zoom out and see, the stock has gained almost 91% YTD, beating the S&P 500's 22.3% gains. Nonetheless, the stock has proven incredibly volatile since its listing, and a potential Donald Trump reelection could add to its upward ascent.
