Apple has announced the latest iteration of its iPad Mini, marking the first update since 2021. The new iPad Mini is powered by the faster A17 Pro processor, the same chip used in the iPhone 15 Pro released last year. This upgrade allows it to support Apple Intelligence, a suite of artificial intelligence features that Apple will gradually introduce to users this month.

In Apple's third fiscal quarter, the iPad division saw approximately 24% year-over-year growth, thanks in part to the release of multiple new iPads since 2022. The iPad Mini remains popular with users who appreciate its compact 8.3-inch screen, ideal for reading and note-taking. Additionally, it supports the latest Apple Pencil Pro, which was launched earlier this year alongside the iPad Pro.

The new iPad Mini is priced starting at $499 and is now available for pre-order. It will be available in stores on October 23.
