While today's discussion is primarily around Witan Investment Trust half year results, I should highlight that subject to shareholder approval, Witan announced its intention in June to combine with Alliance Trust plc later this year to form Alliance Witan plc. This news has been widely publicized, and we will, of course, touch on the future of Witan later. First though, let's look at the Trust results to June 30.
