Good morning, everyone. Thank you for making time available today. My name is Andrew Cowley, and we're here to go through our results for the first half of 2024. The plan is I'll give a brief introduction. I'll then hand over to David to talk through the results in detail. Then we'll have a look at our portfolio, how our tenants is performing, and step back and have a look at the market we are investing in.
So if we go to the first content slide, slide 4, please. So I think many of you on this call are familiar or very familiar with our business. But for those of you who are not, what do we do? We invest in critical social infrastructure. So today, we own 140 care homes for the elderly spread around the UK.
Those homes have just over 7,700 beds in them. So to put that in a bit of perspective, we own just over 1.5% of a very fragmented market. We're going to talk at the end of this presentation about how that market works, how it's being affected by a change in government, and why it's an interesting place, we think, to deploy
