Foxconn's parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (HNHPF, Financial), is currently constructing the world's largest NVIDIA GB200 manufacturing facility in Mexico. The project aims to address the substantial demand for NVIDIA's Blackwell platform.
Foxconn, a leading global electronics contract manufacturer and Apple's primary iPhone assembler, also produces servers. This positions the company to benefit significantly from the ongoing artificial intelligence (AI) boom.
During Foxconn's annual Tech Day, Benjamin Ting, the Senior Vice President leading the Cloud Enterprise Solutions Business Group, emphasized the critical nature of the collaboration with NVIDIA. Ting highlighted the construction of the large-scale GB200 facility and noted the immense demand for NVIDIA's Blackwell platform.
At the same event, Foxconn Chairman Liu Young-way expressed the substantial commercial value that AI offers to enterprises. He also mentioned that Foxconn's manufacturing capabilities are being redefined by AI. Liu emphasized that Foxconn's supply chain is prepared, with vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and advanced cooling and thermal technologies to support GB200 server infrastructure.
Last year, NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, attended Foxconn's Tech Day, although he didn't participate this year.
