GuruFocus founder and CEO Dr. Charlie Tian went live today to discuss new features on the website as well as answer questions from users.
To start, he showed off the Insider Trends page, which provides insight into which sectors may be undervalued based off of insiders' trading activity. He identified some of these areas as real estate, energy, utilities and financial services.
Tian then looked at a new feature within the All-in-One Screener, which is the keyword search. This function allows users to find stocks based on trending terms like artificial intelligence. The term must be at least four characters, however, so entering “AI” would not produce any results.
Using Walmart Inc. (WMT, Financial) as an example, he also explored the Excel Add-In version of the All-in-One Screener. Introduced last month, this feature combines two of the website's most powerful tools, enhancing users' research capabilities.
He also answered a number of questions from users, discussing the advantages of a GuruFocus membership and various screener functions, and even evaluated a couple stocks.
